  1. What is your name, and what do you do at Stanford?

Maggie Suarez-Calixton – I am a Senior Project Manager with Hospital & Clinic Activations

  2. What is your Filipino-American connection? (born in US with Fil parents, or immigrated as an adult, etc.)

I was born in Guam but my family is from the Philippines. My dad was in the Navy so we traveled a lot to and from the Philippines. Our family finally settled in Hayward, California when I was 5 years old and learned the English language and American culture quickly.

  3. What do you like about working at Stanford?

The best thing I like about working at Stanford Healthcare is the being in the presence of diversity, innovation and healing. It is amazing to be part of an organization where people from all over the world turn to Stanford Health Care for solutions to meet all of their health care needs.

  4. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I love to travel and venture to new restaurants. Exploring places and restaurants are a great way to get to know other cultures.

  5. Share a Fil-Am tip with FACS:

If you’re looking for a way to express your artistic talent, help the community or attend a show, Bindlestiff Studio in San Francisco is a wonderful place to check out.
