What is your name? 

Curie Sevilla

What is your role and organization at Stanford? 

I provide strategic and communication support to Residential & Dining Enterprises Stanford Conferences and Student Housing as the Senior Manager for Outreach & Engagement.

What is your educational and professional background? 

I have a BA in Communications at UP Diliman and majored in Biology at Loyola University Chicago. I am also the director of mentorship for the Public Relations Society of America – San Francisco Bay Area Chapter, and a board member of the Asian Staff Forum.

What year did you start at Stanford? 

2010

Which is your immigration generation?

Born in Manila, immigrated at age 11 (1.5 Generation)

Where are you (and/or your family) from in the Philippines? 

Hometown: Manila/Makati. Mom hails from IloIlo City. Dad is from Gasan, Marinduque. 

What is your favorite Filipino food? 

Any saucy Filipino ulam that goes with rice, although I must admit that I am the number 1 fan of Jollibee Jolly Hot Dog.

What do you do in your free time? 

Zumba, succulent gardening, bird watching, mobilizing and creating community events.

One random fact about you.

I am a full-fledged, card-carrying Trekkie.  I can easily converse about Star Trek the Next Generation, Voyager and all the alien villains that the Enterprise crew has encountered throughout the Star Trek universe.
