What is your educational and professional background?
BA in English Education, Minor in Comparative Literature, Certificate in Administration of Campus Recreation and Student Services from CSU Long Beach; MS in Higher Education Administration and Graduate Certificate in Community College Administration from CSU Fullerton; Ed.D. in Organization & Leadership from the University of San Francisco. My research focuses on the experiences of Asian American male leaders and how they negotiate issues around race, patriarchy, and hegemonic masculinity. Prior to Stanford I worked in student leadership development, multicultural education, and Greek affairs in Southern California and worked with Fraternity & Sorority Life and the Row in Residential Education here at Stanford. I’ve also served as the Region VI Northern California Representative for the Asian Pacific Islander Knowledge Community (APIKC) for NASPA, was a board member and in charge of marketing for the Prism Foundation, formerly known as the Gay Asian Pacific Alliance (GAPA), and helped establish the Ivy+ Community and Cultural Centers Conference.

Dance shows like SYTYCD, ABDC, and WOD were inspired by one of my teams that I used to be a member and director of.
